01 / Who we are

A distant past.
A passion still alive.

Legio Decima APS is an Italian non-profit association dedicated to Roman culture and historical reenactment. We come together to study, recreate and tell stories, turning our curiosity about the ancient world into a shared experience.

Behind every costume, gesture and reconstruction are people. We believe in learning together, trying new things and introducing history to those discovering it for the first time.

Based in Monza, with members from across Italy.

Our strength lies in what we build together.
What brings us together

Four values.
One shared direction.

These are the foundations of our approach to reenactment.

I.

Passion

The curiosity that drives us to discover Rome and keeps bringing us together through its history.

II.

Research

Historical sources, discussion and research guide our reconstructions. Learning is part of the journey.

III.

Sharing

Knowledge comes into its own when it is shared through encounters, storytelling and education.

IV.

Respect

For history, for our audiences and for the people alongside us.

02 / From research to experience

Encounter history.
Hear it. Live it.

A hands-on way to discover the Roman world.

01

Historical reenactment

Recreated clothing, equipment and gestures bring the past to life, offering a close-up look at the life and culture of ancient Rome.

02

Outreach and education

Clear storytelling, answering questions and sparking curiosity: engaging with our audiences is at the heart of the experience.

03

Events and collaborations

Meeting other reenactment groups, taking part in events and building cultural partnerships in Italy and abroad.

03 / A history of shared encounters

Our camp
is a place for everyone.

Events are where our work meets the public. Pompeii, Fano, Ascoli Satriano and Teutoburg are part of our shared journey.

Before we meet

Curiosity is a great place to start.

Can I join without any experience?

If reenactment interests you, write to us and tell us what inspires you. We can get to know each other, explain how the group works and help you take your first steps.

Do I need my own equipment?

Before buying clothing or equipment, speak with the association. We can explain the historical period we portray and help you find the right way to get started.

How can I propose an event or collaboration?

Contact the president with the location, dates and type of event. Tell us about your project: a clear idea helps us explore how we could work together.
